The Product Pulse with Sean McDonald: How Long Does the MagicDichol® Family of Products Last? Explaining PAO

Hello everybody, it’s Sean with MagicDichol®. I’d like to take a few minutes of your time today and talk with you about something we do get questions about fairly often, and that is: how long are the MagicDichol Family of Products good for?

You know, every time a batch is manufactured, that changes. Many of you may have noticed, probably a few years ago if you’ve been with us for a while, that we went to what we call a PAO, or period after opening, in terms of helping our customers understand when these products should be used by.

What you’ll see, even though it’s very small here on the label—this is a bottle of NANO SOMA® Liquid, for example—on this label there is a small open jar icon. That is a standard industry icon, and it refers to what is called a period after opening.

Now, on this jar, the number 24 is printed. That means that this particular bottle of NANO SOMA Liquid should be used within 24 months of being opened or unsealed.

So those of you who buy large quantity product packages from us, maybe to share with family members and so on and so forth, often will ask, “How long can I use this product?”

Well, as long as they stay sealed and are stored in a reasonably cool, dry environment in your home, once you open it, you should use it within 24 months.

That applies to the NANO SOMA® Topical Gel and the NANO SOMA® Skin Cream as well. All three products carry a period after opening of 24 months.

So, when you’re using these products, as many of you know, there are usage protocols, particularly for the spray. Now you know, with a 24-month period after opening, and you’re using NANO SOMA Liquid on a regular, normal usage or even accelerated usage, you’re going to use that product within a month, maybe less.

With the gel and the cream, you will use those in slightly different amounts. I typically go through a couple of bottles of gel per year, and my wife goes through a bottle of the cream about every six weeks.

So, there’s really no concern about having opened product for more than 24 months, and that is the standard period after opening for the MagicDichol Family of Products.

So be confident you’ve got product that is designed to support you in your daily life. Use them as you get to them, know that they are good, and always look for that period after opening icon and the number, which refers to how many months you have before you should use a given product.
