Who Knew? Q&A with John: Ubiquitous Disclaimers

For those of you who regularly read our blogs (that’s all of you, right?), you may have noticed that, without fail, they all contain a disclaimer.

In the unlikely event that by now you can’t recite it by heart, it goes like this:

This product is not intended to diagnose or prescribe for any medical condition, nor to prevent, treat, mitigate, or cure such condition(s). If you have any illness or medical condition, consult your healthcare provider. 

So, the question which often arises is this: if our products – primarily the NANO SOMA® Liquid – are as good and as effective as all those thousands of customer testimonials say they are, why can’t we just be straightforward about them, instead of adding these qualifying statements to every email?

Let’s look at that disclaimer. It comprises 2 sentences.

The first says that NANO SOMA is not intended to “prevent, treat or mitigate” any medical condition. What? Well, yes, because as we have also said over and over, it is our bodies that do that work, but only when they have the right tools.  

As an example, my mechanic was trained in Germany as a teenager. Now, he is about to become a grandfather. So, for the last 50 years he has been repairing cars with an ever-expanding expertise. But, if I ask him to rebuild the engine in my car, I can’t expect him to do that in an empty workshop with no tools or equipment. Just him in an empty workshop and my car? Of course not.

We need to fill that room with all the necessary tools, equipment, oils, and parts he requires to rebuild that engine so it hums and runs perfectly. Once we give the mechanic all that he needs, he can begin the task.

The car is your body. A wondrous machine, but often not running as it should.

The mechanic is your immune system: it knows exactly what to do but may be missing the complete set of tools to do it. The tools, parts, oils and equipment are NANO SOMA, which help enable the mechanic (your immune system) to repair the car (your body).* 

The second sentence in the disclaimer is because someone other than us owns the official narrative on health, and that’s how products like ours currently need to be described. However, as times continue to change and we start returning to a freer and more open world, perhaps common sense and reality will again become the norm, and perhaps then the conversation will change. For now, so be it.
